AIR QUALITY SOLUTIONS
Air pollution emanates from various sources. These sources include: stationary sources such as industrial facilities, power plants and smelters, and smaller industries such as dry cleaners and
degreasing operations; mobile sources such as cars, buses, planes, trucks, and trains; and naturally occurring sources such as windblown dust and volcanic eruptions, all contribute to atmospheric
emissions. These sources emit a variety of atmospheric emissions. Air Quality is a direct consequence of atmospheric emissions emanating from these sources.
Indoor air pollution and urban air quality are listed as two of the world’s worst toxic pollution problems in the 2008 Blacksmith Institute World's Worst Polluted Places report. According to the 2014 WHO report, air pollution caused the deaths of around 7 million people worldwide. Air pollution is a significant risk factor for several human health conditions. The health effects may
include wheezing, coughing, asthma, and worsening of existing respiratory and cardiac conditions. The human health effects of poor air quality are far reaching, but principally affect the body’s
respiratory system and the cardiovascular system. Individual reactions to air pollutants depend on the type of pollutant a person is exposed to, the degree of exposure, the individual's health status and genetics. These effects may result in increased medication use, increased doctor visits, more
hospital admissions, and premature deaths. Impact of atmospheric emissions may also pose a significant risk to the receiving environment and
delicate ecosystems.
Mamadi Air Quality assist our clientele in planning, strategizing, developing, managing, and implementing strategic plans to mitigate and reduce the impact of polluted air, and thus creating a
cleaner environment for all. We develop value-add solutions to enable our clientele to achieve clean air objectives.
OUR SERVICES
Chapter 2 section 24 of the constitution of SA underpins the right to an environment that is not harmful to their health or well-being.
Every citizen deserves to live in an environment with air quality that is not harmful to their health and well-being. Various activities are associated with potentially significant atmospheric emissions, these include amongst others, automotive, greenhouse gas emissions; regional haze; urban, airport
and harbour congestion; and mercury emissions. Mamadi’s Air Quality solutions are designed to assist both private and public sectors in identifying sources, managing and controlling the impact of pollution on the Air Quality. Our engineers and Air Quality Specialists are qualified to embrace Best Practices and engineering Models to assist the client in tackling Air Quality Issues.
Mamadi Air Quality assist organisations (including public sectors such as provinces and municipalities) to manage and maintain air quality within regulatory standards, identification of
pollution sources contributing to non-compliance and to develop emission reduction programmes for such sources.
